Easter Treasure Hunt 2023

 Time for another blog hop.

Jo, Serendipitous Stitching, is giving us a chance to share our stitching. Since Easter will soon be here we are hopping around the blog world collecting letters to make a phrase. We also get to view some fabulous stitching/crafting along the way.

If this is your first stop you will want to go to Jo's blog so you don't miss any of the participating blogs

Start: https://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com

Since this is the Year of The Rabbit I thought I would share 3 rabbit projects I stitched in the past.:

Blackbird Designs, Easter Parade
Easter Holiday Hoopla, Brenda Gervais
Spring Hare Etching, Heart in Hand

Oh, Yes you're here for a letter.

Hop on over to: https://lifeoutsidethewashingbasket.blogspot.com/ to continue with the Treasure Hunt.
Happy Easter!

WIPGO Progress Feb.

This past weekend was the second WIPGO weekend for 2023. I spent most of my stitching time working on As Life Wears Away. My goal was to finish the top bargello section and start the verse.  I also wanted to complete two of the houses on Blooming Tiny Town.

At the end of the weekend, I met my goal for As Life Wears Away and managed one house on Blooming Tiny Town.

September-October 2022

Winter Wonderland was my start for the September Designer Focus. Designer is Glendon Place. I only managed a portion of the border and a start on the antlers. I have a bit more of the border on the right than this picture. Will continue working on this to see how far I can get.

I also worked on Monica, Mabel Tuke, Cinnamon Stars, and Lady Justice. I had a start and finish on Hands on Design Hello September.

October's start and finish was Cricket Collection's Why Is It? Cricket Collection was GaRon Designer Focus for October.

This year I was able to attend Friendstitch. This Zoom retreat held by Heart in Hand and Bent Creek was a blast. I was in the morning session. The projects, videos and swag made it a great experience. I look forward to attending next year.

June into July

I had the top portion ready to post  post on the 30th of June. I'm not sure how or why but after making some edits the post wouldn't publish so I've copied and pasted it here.

Today is day 181 of 2021. Half the year is officially over at midnight. I managed to meet my WIPGO goals for the month. I worked on Halloween at Hollyberry Farm, and Starry Night. My SAL stitching was on Just add Tinsel, Casing a Spell, 21 Halloween Cross Stitch projects in 2021, and Christmas Ornie SAL. I had one start, Hello Summer, It's Sew Emma  from Fat Quarter Shop's Stitch Quarterly. I have one popsicle stitched and started on the second of 6.

I'm really excited that Starry Night is stitched. Now I have to make a final decision on how I will finish them.

I'm still working on the ribbon (bow) at the front of Lady Liberty's dress. There are a lot more stitches there than I first thought.

March: WIPGO weekend

Last week I spent a lot of time stitching, frogging, then re-stitching. Luckily the areas that I had to re-stitch weren't very large and in the end I was able to make some progress. When the threads I'm waiting on arrive I should be able to make some more progress. I hope my order arrives tomorrow as projected by the tracker.

This was a WIPGO weekend. I got a late start but was able to meet my goals.

My start on Spring Whirligig by Heart in Hand

Two more blocks from Casting A Spell, Blackbird Designs.

And my progress on Portrait in Red, Southern Roots.

This weekend proved to be very productive.  On Thursday I saw the notification  that the 13 and 14th would be the second WIPGO weekend of 2021. I set a goal of working 100 stiches on Woman Silhouette and to stitch the top border on page one of Nevermore. I was able to meet both goals and I'm especially happy with my progress on Nevermore.

If that wasn't enough I was able to purchase one of GaRon Toten Bags special February bags. It arrived of Friday and now houses Lady Justice!
