Thank you Rachel for hosting again.

I can’t remember the source of this pattern at the moment. My Guild stitched it as group project many moons ago. I was able to find a bracelet on Etsy that I used for the band.

June into July

I had the top portion ready to post  post on the 30th of June. I'm not sure how or why but after making some edits the post wouldn't publish so I've copied and pasted it here.

Today is day 181 of 2021. Half the year is officially over at midnight. I managed to meet my WIPGO goals for the month. I worked on Halloween at Hollyberry Farm, and Starry Night. My SAL stitching was on Just add Tinsel, Casing a Spell, 21 Halloween Cross Stitch projects in 2021, and Christmas Ornie SAL. I had one start, Hello Summer, It's Sew Emma  from Fat Quarter Shop's Stitch Quarterly. I have one popsicle stitched and started on the second of 6.

I'm really excited that Starry Night is stitched. Now I have to make a final decision on how I will finish them.

Second Week Stitching

I finished the first motif in Fragments In Time 2017. Last weekend, I also worked some on the border.  I'm happy to finish this one, it turned into a challenge trying to correct for my prior miscounting.

This week I had another small finish. Spooky Sheep by Shepherd's Bush. I just need to add his hat, a button to his head.

For some seasonal stitching, I've stared the next 12 Days Ornament and a Fall project as well. I only have the 'N' in Rings done on the ornament so no picture this time. This is my progress so far October by Little House Needleworks.

Leap Day Finish

The inside portions of my Blueberries and Cream piece are stitched. I've completed the 3 needlepages and the Threader Pocket. Now on to the tape measure cover.

I will have to do some frogging on Live, Love, Laugh as I just noticed that I have miscounted the placement of 2 motifs. Arghh................

My group project with Swan Sampler Guild was finished on Leap Day 2012. The piece was Tiny Flag by Shepherd's Bush. My Tiny Flag was stitched to be finished as a framed piece. I plan to order the mat from an online shop.

Hopefully I will have it framed and ready to hang by Memorial Day.

Well it seams I can't add pictures today, not sure what is going on with Goggle/blogger. Will try later.

Thanks for stopping by,

 Gwen

Week 2

While digging thorough a basket of stuff precious stash I found this Shepherd's Bush Kit, Watercolor Heart. It was a quick stitch and I was able to finish it in a couple of days. The kit included the hand painted mat by Jill Rensel. Now all I have to do  is find a suitable frame.  Michael's had a buy-one-get-one-free sale on frames last week. I picked up a frame that I hope to use for The Pineapple Sampler, but I didn't find anything of my SB piece. I also checked Hobby Lobby when I was there on Thursday but no luck there either. I will have to keep checking or find another option.

Week 2 Progress report:
The Pineapple Sampler
I finished stitching the design on my silk gauze and started on the background.

Still working on my house. All the windows are in, need to complete the roof and siding.

Wishing you joy in stitching,

Sharing

I received several stitched items that are too cool to keep to myself. So I would like to take this opportunity to share them with you.

Th first picture is the package I received from a fellow stitcher Karol on Stitching Blogger's Birthday Club exchange. Each participant stitches an item and sends it to their exchange partner along with any extras if desired. The idea is to have the package arrive on or before the big day. Who doesn't love being remembered? The needleroll Karol stitched for me is the Stitcher's Roll from Shepherd's Bush. The inscription reads: 'A needle thin, Be placed herein, Can stitch & hem, Darn sew & mend.'

The second set of pictures are of a Midsummer Night Designs piece that is a needlebook with 2 self lined stitching pockets. The Remember Me Stitching Pocket was made for me by my dear friend CarolB, who usually breaks into a sweat at the thought of using the sewing machine. She has gotten a lot more comfortable at the sewing machine recently, and is well in her way to conquering her fear altogether. She did a wonderful job on the stitching and finishing.

I also received a beautifully lined box with a stitched lid from another dear friend DixieM. Hopefully I will get home in time to take a decent picture and post it later this week.

Thank you ladies for sharing your wonderful talent with me. I wish my camera skills were better and could really do justice to these pieces.

Stitchign is relaxing, stitching is relaxing........

The Frogs have come for a visit so I am taking a break from my Sunday DT stitching for an update while repeating my mantra. Stitching is relaxing, stitching is relaxing, stitching is .......

Since my last visit Nicola has received the needle roll that I stitched for her on the HoE blog. Nicloa has a December birthday and plans to stitch the Victoria Sampler December Needleroll. I used some of the colors and elements from that needle roll to stitch her a monogram needle roll. Now she will have a companion piece to her birth month needle roll.

I didn't get much stitching done last week, but I managed to finish the stitching on my Shepherd's Bush freebie Free that I received for my birthday.
The pattern indicates that there are suggested finishing instructions on the SB website, but I have not been able to find them. I guess I will have to do some more investigating.
On Friday I sent my Prairie Schooler Exchange off across the pond. It should be there soon. When it is received I will be able to show pictures. After changing my mind several times I finally settled on a finish from Focus on Finishing blog. Thanks Anne S for the great work you do maintaining this valuable online resource.
In Stitches,
Gwen

Thank you my stitching friends!

Over the weekend I celebrated my birthday! I want to take this opportunity to thank some of my stitching friends for the gifts they sent me.

On Friday the mailman brought me a kit from Dixie. She had visited Utah and made a stop at the Shepherd's Bush shop. She sent me a chart from the shop along with the threads and fabric for finishing the piece into a pillow.

On Saturday the mailman arrived again bearing more gifts. CarolB sent me a gorgeous Quaker pincushion, a 12-in1 Sewing multi-tool and some Berger's cookies (a specialty baked only in MD).

Steph sent me a wonderful knit felted purse that she knitted and felted herself. She also sent a gorgeous needlebook.

Stitching friends really are the greatest. Thank you ladies for making my birthday special.
