Happy New Year 2016!

My goal for 2015 was to cross off at least one item from my SAL/WIPocalypse list. I managed to cross off two items and finish a few smaller projects. Reading has distracted me the last few weeks, but I plan on getting in some stitching today. I am starting a SAL, Hark by Erica Michaels with a friend, and hopefully at lest one strand of thread on a few others. My goals will be showing up on a later post.

December: Final Gifted Gorge0usness Update

December 15 and the last check-in for Gifted Gorgeousness 2015. Jo has been hosting this SAL and plans to continue in 2016. It's a good thing because I have enjoyed this SAL and I still have a lot of projects in my stash. The GG project that has gotten the most needle time in the last few weeks is Christmas at  Hollyberry Farm

Christmas at Hollyberry Farm - Jan 2015

Christmas at Hollyberry Farm - Dec 2015

My other GG project was Strawberry Lace.  I started the year with the back and front of the pincushion stitched. I have made quite a bit of progress but I don't have a current picture to share. Hope to get a picture soon.

July2015: WIPocalypse pt1.

WIPocalypse 2015

I worked on 3 of my WIPocalypse projects in June. First up, Strawberry Lace.
I've started the front of the case, but haven't gotten very far. The diving bands are done. The 3 row alphabet and number sections are over one and there are a few color changes going on.

My before and after of Christmas at Hollyberry Farm showed up in an earlier post for GG 2015. But  here it is again.

Third and the one with maybe the most progress is my pincushion doll skirt.

Double Duty

Smalls SAL 2015

My Smalls Check-In is late. I've shown my first finish the tuck-away pillow earlier,

My second finish is a hedgehog pincushion. This pincushion is from a class I took at A Stitcher's Gathering over the weekend. The other parts of the set is a needle book and a gaming purse.

Since I shared these pictures I've started on the needle case cover. I haven't gotten very far so I haven't taken any pictures yet. Hopefully by next check-in I will have more to show.

And my final update. The apron for my pincushion doll is growing.

Gifted Gorgeousness - May 2015

The GG project that has had the most progress thus far is Strawberry Lace by Diane Clements. This past week we received the very sad news that Diane passed away. She will be sorely missed by the needlework community. I had the opportunity to take a class with Diane and it was a pleasure to meet her and see her exquisite execution of her stitching especially her Reticello work. RIP

I have the needlebook cover almost done. I need to add two eyelets at the top. Then in the photo there are 4-sided stitches along the outer edge but they are not in the instructions. I will re-read that section again to see if I missed something. Either way I will be adding some 4-sided stitches because I think it ties the cover together with the pages. I just need to decide how far out to stitch them. The last piece that needs to be tackled is the sewing case cover.

Gifted Gorgeousness - April 2015

I missed the check-in yesterday because I hadn't taken an updated picture. Today it is raining and will be for the rest of the week and weekend, if the weather man can be believed. So here is my short update and a not so hot picture.
After my Easter crafting hiatus I am finally back to working on Strawberry Lace. I have had to frog a portion of everything I worked on this past week. I hope the frogs will go away so that I really get back in the stitching groove. I did manage to get the pincushion back stitched.

February's Gifted Generosity SAL progress

It's February 15th and time for a Gifted Generosity SAL link up. My plans for this link up was to complete the stitching of the pincushion. I managed to finish the front of the pincushion, the back hasn't been started yet.  I will need to make stitch faster if I am to complete the back and do front of the needlebook. Someone has stolen 2 days from this month.
