After making a paper pin cube at a guild meeting this month. I decided to stitch one. The Quaker Cube was featured on Stitch-Creations as a SAL a few years ago.

Some Finishes to report

I was able to complete some projects last week. I am very excited about that.

First off my ornament for Ellen as arrived so I can show you the picture now. This was part of an exchange on HoE.

These 2 ornaments have been languishing in the to-be-finished basket for so long I cannot remember the source of the patterns. I finally did a nun stitch around them and attached them to some felt with a ribbon hanger.

Felt backed ornaments.

My Quaker Inspired SAL for this month was to stitch a Quaker ornament. I picked this design from The Workbasket that was published in the JCS 2002 Ornament issue.

At at last I have finished Brave Hearts by Little House Needleworks. This was stitched on the recommended fabric (I think!) with the recommended Crescent Cotton floss.

Thank you my stitching friends!

Over the weekend I celebrated my birthday! I want to take this opportunity to thank some of my stitching friends for the gifts they sent me.

On Friday the mailman brought me a kit from Dixie. She had visited Utah and made a stop at the Shepherd's Bush shop. She sent me a chart from the shop along with the threads and fabric for finishing the piece into a pillow.

On Saturday the mailman arrived again bearing more gifts. CarolB sent me a gorgeous Quaker pincushion, a 12-in1 Sewing multi-tool and some Berger's cookies (a specialty baked only in MD).

Steph sent me a wonderful knit felted purse that she knitted and felted herself. She also sent a gorgeous needlebook.

Stitching friends really are the greatest. Thank you ladies for making my birthday special.

March update

Easter Card 2007

I took a trip to CA to visit my DS. I had a great time and actually got some stitching done. I have most of the house on part 2 of BBD Flea Market Souvenir and some motifs on Sarah Moon.
















Since I returned from my trip I received the first Loose Feathers Designs for 2007, "Thier Song". It is now on the list for rotation after I finish FMS and "Secreat Garden" (already started). (I really need to figure out how to improve my formatting.)
