December 2018 Last Lap!

Finally getting back to some stitching!
I bogged down on my HOD 12 Days and just couldn't get past the Maids. Well, I finally finished the stitching on 8 Maids a Milking.

My other finish was my Cheer Angel for my DN.

Some Summer Smalls

Since my last post I've finished the stitching on a few small projects.

First up: Dastardly Duo, by The Trilogy. This is one of the Domes of Doom Trio. It's an older offering and I'm still looking for the other two, Haunted Heads and Hoot and Hiss. Meanwhile I plan to pair it with another WIP Pumpkin by Bent Creek and finish them as cubes.
Second: Love 2 Read, by Hinzeit
Third: September Flip It Bits, by Lizzie Kate. I've been stalking my ONS for several Lizzie Kates. I was able to get some of the patterns that were on my wish list. I have a few others that I hope to get before they all disappear or hit the crazy/pricey third party market.
Currently my stitching includes Pumpkin by Bent Creek, October Flip It Bits, and Autumn Smalls by Lizzie Kate. I started with the Autumn Pillow.
I scummed to temptation and tried my hand at Punch Needle. To test the waters I printed an image from online and I'm using floss for my fiber. I haven't gotten very far; but I've enjoyed the process for far.

I just received the latest issue of Punch Needle and Primitive Stitcher Magazine and there are several projects in this issue I want to do.

The Merry (Wet) Month of May

May 2018 is just hours away from being an entry in the history books. The last few days we have had an awful lot of rain. Hope this will help us as we approach summer to make up some of our deficit.

I think I'm slowly getting out of my stitching slum. This month I worked on two pieces from Praiseworthy Stitches', Halloween Frights Treat Box. The first is a candy corn that will be finished as Scissor fob and the other is the face of Frankie. Frankie will be finished as a needlebook.

After neglecting my Cheer Angel for some months, I finally started working  on her again.

I have just a small area of her face and blouse left to stitch. I also plan on adding some embellishment to the wings.

I had the great pleasure of taking a class with Jeannette Douglas this month. The class was co-sponsored by the Magnolia Sampler Guild and The Sampler Guild of Georgia. While Jeannette taught two classes I was only able to attend one. The class I took was Common Threads Two. In the tradition of Common Threads, this sampler has adapted to the area were it was being taught.  Our version includes some Georgia peaches, Cherokee Rose blossoms, a Spanish moss covered tree, and the gold domed State Capitol. Stitched in silks on your choice of  32ct or 36ct linen it is proving to be a fun stitch.

The class was very enjoyable and I hope I'll be able to take another class with Jeanette.

Lizzie Kate, Flip-It

April Stamp Flip-It is stitched! It's pinned to foam core board in a frame from Hobby Lobby. Ive left the back open; I think I may want to use this frame to swap out some other monthly finishes.

Week 8: The Beginnings of a Building

My Needlework Shop has some snow on the roof and the beginnings of a building. Reading and knitting took up most to my spare time. I'v working on a scarf that I started in January. While I'm anxious to welcome Spring, I really would like to finish this scarf and so I've been spending a lot of time with it. Time to get it off the needles and concentrate on something lighter

Meanwhile here is my progress so far on the Needlework Shop.

Happy 2018!

Happy New Year!
freebie Rosa E-sub
WDW Candy Apple, CC Steamed Broccoli, MH 40123

I started the New Year with a new knitting project, then I worked on my goals for the year. For 2018 plans are to continue  working through my WIPs, and the SALs from last year. To decrease the size of my WIPs I want to make really update my projects and set focus projects each month. I While I had some finishes last year my WIPs, list is still very long. There is a new series coming from Little House Needleworks that I want to work on as well.
