Overdue Catch Up

I've been very delinquent with my updates. Can't believe I've let so much time go by.

During the month of July, Put A Bird on It and Woodland Wonder were my main focus pieces. This led to a finish of Put A Bird On It in August. That was my third finish for my The Year of WIPs Challenge.

That leaves 2 more projects to complete. Now I'm working on Simple Gifts Scissor Spool. This was a kitted exclusive from Homespun Needlework (Cross Stitch and Samplers) on FB. Looking for ward to getting this done and FFO'd.

Simple Gifts Scissor Spool
Jeannette DouglasI also started Pop of Halloween from Bent Creek. It's designed as a small to be framed but I want to adapt it to a small drum. I worked on this a little more and added the pumpkin stems and the background crosses on the top, now I'm working on the sides of the drum.
After a really good stitching month of July. My stitching mojo slacked off a bit but as mentioned before I put the finishing stitches in Put a Bird On It.

Modern Folk Embroidery
I did some stitching on  AD 1757, Watergarden, both still a long way to go, and Simple Gifts. Simple Gifts should be finished soon then I will concentrate on Day of Jubilee. I should have SG finished in October and will then focus on Day of Jubilee.

September-October 2022

Winter Wonderland was my start for the September Designer Focus. Designer is Glendon Place. I only managed a portion of the border and a start on the antlers. I have a bit more of the border on the right than this picture. Will continue working on this to see how far I can get.

I also worked on Monica, Mabel Tuke, Cinnamon Stars, and Lady Justice. I had a start and finish on Hands on Design Hello September.

October's start and finish was Cricket Collection's Why Is It? Cricket Collection was GaRon Designer Focus for October.

This year I was able to attend Friendstitch. This Zoom retreat held by Heart in Hand and Bent Creek was a blast. I was in the morning session. The projects, videos and swag made it a great experience. I look forward to attending next year.

June into July

I had the top portion ready to post  post on the 30th of June. I'm not sure how or why but after making some edits the post wouldn't publish so I've copied and pasted it here.

Today is day 181 of 2021. Half the year is officially over at midnight. I managed to meet my WIPGO goals for the month. I worked on Halloween at Hollyberry Farm, and Starry Night. My SAL stitching was on Just add Tinsel, Casing a Spell, 21 Halloween Cross Stitch projects in 2021, and Christmas Ornie SAL. I had one start, Hello Summer, It's Sew Emma  from Fat Quarter Shop's Stitch Quarterly. I have one popsicle stitched and started on the second of 6.

I'm really excited that Starry Night is stitched. Now I have to make a final decision on how I will finish them.

Lots to Share

As we head into June I've a few finishes to share.

First up is a finish on Hands on Design 12 Days, 10 Ladies. This has been languishing for some time now. I was finally able to finish the stitching. That leaves just three more in this series. HOD, 12 Days and The Game were my WIPGO numbers (#19 and #22) for May. I was able to complete my 5 hours  of stitching on The Game.

I also stitched the Halloween block from Casting a Spell.

My second 12 Days of Christmas Series is the 12 Berries of Christmas, Erica Michaels. I completed the stitching on berry number 4 and stitched berry number 5.

The Shepherd from Starry Night, Blackbird Designs is done.

The fob for my Blue Ribbon Tax Day SAL on IG is stitched and I have a small start on the needlebook. I will need to decide about the container soon. I will not be doing the tree. It would require too much to get it just right. I 'll be opting for something simpler. I have a few ideas just need to decide on one.

The main finish for May was Portrait  In Red. Love, love her. I've already started working on her companion Portrait in Blue.

Thanks for Stopping By.

Boo Ghost

My first fully finished for 2021is a small piece from Mill Hill. This was designed to be a pin. I covered the back with felt and added a hanger to make mine an ornament. This is the first project for the FB group 21 Halloween Cross-Stitch Projects in 2021. Only 20 more to go.

Last and First

 Happy New Year!

My last finish of 2020 was Moonlit Garden

I decided to leave off the words on the bottom.

This year I've continuing with the Christmas Ornie SAL, and Smalls SAL. I have 4 more Days from the Hands on Design 12 Days that I need to stitch. These with go towards the Christmas Ornie SAL and the FB 12 Days of Christmas Stitching Group that I joined. I just need to decide on another set of 12 Day designs. I'm also took on the challenge to stitch 21 Halloween Cross Stitch Projects in 2021, and trying to use Jessie Marie's WIPGO to focus my WIPs. I will be trying to boost my fully finish projects and post to Fully Finished Gallery monthly.

My New Year's start and finish was Boo Ghost. I'll be finishing this as an ornament instead of a pin as it was intended. Also, I didn't add the star to the ghost's hand. I would like to find some Halloweenish charm, pumpkin, skeleton etc., instead.

Mill Hill Kit
My second finish is Queen Bee.

The Blackberry Rabbit
I started this in December and finished the stitching today. I will be using this for a birth sampler for a co-worker. I'm in the progress of charting the details that I'll be adding at the bottom, also need to look for a frame. Hope to catch a frame sale at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

Wishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year with lots of stitching.
