April's WIPocalypse/Smalls Update

Halloween at Hollyberry Farm is coming along. I've started on the house. This is going to take awhile. I'm not sure about the parchment for the walls for the house. The portion that I've stitched on the left is barely visible. I'm thinking of using something a little whiter. I need to get out a few different other options and decide what to do.

I manged two small finishes this month. Lizzie Kate's A Bit of April and Bunny from Lizzie Kate's Spring Smalls chart.

The Bunny made for a cute mattress pincushion. The JABCO bunny and carrot pins were a nice touch.

Week 11: A Fully Finished Object (FFO)

Posting a little late for last week. It's the first full day of Spring , according to the calendar. Someone forgot to tell Mother Nature. A large portion of the country is still experiencing Winter weather. Some are blanketed in snow, with no end in sight.  Here the temps have dropped at least 20 degrees from last week. I'm fortunate that I have only had to deal with cooler temperatures and not the tornadoes that touched down in my area over the weekend.

Over the weekend I rummaged through the box-of-shame and found some Easter/Spring stitching that I want to FFO. I haven't gotten to them yet but I did manage to finish Hares' Easter as a flatfold.

Spring and Lavender

Spring is finally here and April is almost over. We have had lots of rain here. Hope everyone had a good Easter.

It's hard to believe that Easter has come and gone. At first it seemed to be so late that I could be so much  Spring/Easter stitching done. The only project I was able to complete was a few tatted crosses. I encluded the in a few Easter cards that I sent out. I wore the small green one to church on Palm Sunday.

I had to tweak the pattern and instructions a bit to match the model but, this was a nice, quick pattern.

My other finish so far this month is another set of smalls, French Lavenders by Jackie du Plessis. This was a gift that I received for Christmas, and I am so excited to have it stitched and assembled.

First Day of Spring

The First Day of Spring will be here in my neck of the woods in less that 6 hours. I can hardly wait. This winter has been loooooooooooong and I for one am ready for it to be over.

Since my last post many moons ago, I have finished stitching a couple of small pieces, but no pictures to share right now. I hope to remedy that soon. In the meantime here is a picture I received from a friend that shows the promise of Spring arriving in her hometown.
