A new start and some re-stitching

One style of samplers that has been on my to-do list is a darning sampler. This year Ellen Chester is sponsoring an SAL of a darning sampler in her newsletter. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to stitch my first darning sampler. Though small, this sampler gives the stitcher a chance to learn eleven different darning patterns and also has an alphabet and the numbers that would have been used to mark the household linen. I am stitching mine on the recommended linen with AVS 2946 E.

My progress so far on LLL. I have one more motif that I have to re-stitch after my mis-counting.
Thanks for stopping by,

Gwen

I love the LLL sampler - the colors are so pretty!
I am a big fan of darning samplers too. I have not worked one yet, but it is on the list of techniquest that I really want to try one day! :-)

Lovely scissor fob! Nice to see a different colour for the darning sampler, it's in my stash but green is not a favorite:)
Look forward meeting you in June:))
