A November Class

Janis of Noteworthy Needle has some very cute and unique projects. On Saturday she taught two of her designs to my guild.  In the morning session we worked on A Stitcher's Chest. A hand painted box that will boast  a stitched top, a needle book, Altoid tin bees wax holder with stitched top, pin mattress, and scissor fob. After reviewing the stitches, we went over the finishing to include making twisted cord, making tassels, finishing from the outside, (whipping back stitched pieces together), and attaching stitched pieces to non-fabric objects.

The afternoon session, covered the stitching and finishing of My Secret Garden. The Garden is constructed with  two 4-sided biscornu. The outside of the fitted biscornu showcase the garden fence and vines. Open the biscornu and the Garden is revealed. The finishing of this piece will be a challenge.
